Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce federal, state, and local regulatory compliance for municipal infrastructure projects
- Conduct comprehensive audits of construction sites and procurement processes
- Prepare detailed compliance reports and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with engineering and legal teams to develop policy improvements
- Train department staff on regulatory requirements and best practices
- Investigate citizen complaints and regulatory violations
- Stay updated on evolving environmental and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Environmental Science, or related field
- 3+ years of regulatory compliance experience in government or construction
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and Florida building codes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance tracking software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Professional certification in compliance management preferred
