Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the City's local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data and citizen information.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for departmental hardware and software systems.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to identify areas for optimization.
- Collaborate with vendors and external contractors to ensure seamless technology integration.
- Document technical processes and maintain accurate records of system configurations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT systems administration or technical support within a government or enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, hardware architecture, and cloud services (AWS/Azure preferred).
- Professional certification such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
