Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain municipal network infrastructure including servers, firewalls, and cloud systems
- Provide Tier 2-3 technical support for city employees and public-facing digital services
- Implement cybersecurity protocols and conduct regular vulnerability assessments
- Oversee hardware/software lifecycle management for 500+ city workstations
- Collaborate with departments to develop customized technology solutions
- Document IT procedures and create knowledge base articles
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for critical system incidents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in enterprise IT infrastructure management
- CompTIA Security+ and/or AWS/Azure certifications required
- Experience with government compliance frameworks (FISMA, NIST)
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization
- Strong problem-solving abilities with incident management tools
- Excellent communication skills for technical/non-technical stakeholders
- Valid Kansas driver's license required
