Responsibilities
- Analyze complex federal healthcare datasets to identify trends and anomalies using SQL, Python, and R
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Power BI for stakeholder reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal data security protocols (HIPAA, FISMA) and privacy regulations
- Prepare statistical reports summarizing findings for agency leadership and congressional committees
- Collaborate with epidemiologists and policy analysts to support evidence-based decision-making
- Maintain and optimize data pipelines for federal health program performance metrics
- Present analytical results to non-technical audiences through clear data narratives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience with federal/state government data analysis or healthcare data
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical analysis tools
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar data visualization platforms
- Familiarity with federal data standards (HIPAA, FISMA, HITECH) and compliance frameworks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Certification in data analytics (e.g., AWS Data Analytics, SAS) or public health analytics preferred
