Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and hardware infrastructure across the agency.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data against cyber threats.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for internal staff and government contractors.
- Configure, deploy, and manage operating systems, including Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify technology needs and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Document technical processes, create user manuals, and maintain accurate system logs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or a similar technical role.
- Certification preferred: CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Government IT certifications.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, hardware troubleshooting, and cloud services.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearance (Secret or Top Secret).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Must be a US Citizen and eligible for government employment.
