As a Government IT Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and security of federal information systems. We are looking for a proactive individual ready to make an impact immediately.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) for federal facilities.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols to ensure compliance with federal standards.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
- Conduct regular system audits and perform software updates and patch management.
- Collaborate with agency leadership to optimize IT infrastructure for efficiency and security.
- Document all technical procedures and maintain accurate inventory records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Experience with federal government IT systems and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in network administration, server management, and virtualization.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
