Responsibilities
- Process pension contributions, disbursements, and beneficiary claims accurately and timely.
- Conduct regular audits of pension accounts and documentation to ensure compliance.
- Assist retirees and beneficiaries with inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, and plan changes.
- Update and maintain accurate records in the state pension database.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and HR teams to ensure adherence to ERISA and state laws.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in pension administration, benefits administration, or government service.
- Strong working knowledge of ERISA, FICA, and state retirement regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and pension management software.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
