We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to manage pension claims, process retirements, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of state pension applications, from initial inquiry to final disbursement.
- Coordinate with HR departments and external actuaries to ensure accurate pension calculations and projections.
- Maintain and audit detailed records of employee contributions and retirement fund balances.
- Respond to inquiries from current employees and retirees regarding pension eligibility and benefit details.
- Ensure strict adherence to state pension laws, ERISA regulations, and internal compliance protocols.
- Prepare regular reports on pension fund status and workforce retirement trends for management review.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new pension plan policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration, pension management, or government payroll.
- Strong knowledge of retirement plan structures, state compliance laws, and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word) and experience with HRIS software is essential.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate accurate reports.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Certification (e.g., CEBS, FPC) is a strong plus.
