Responsibilities
- Contribute to Pension Plans: Process and record monthly pension contributions and ensure accurate allocation to employee retirement accounts.
- Member Services: Serve as the primary point of contact for member inquiries regarding eligibility, vesting, and daily pay processing.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all pension plan operations comply with state and federal regulations, including ERISA guidelines.
- Data Management: Maintain up-to-date member records and perform regular audits to ensure data integrity.
- Annual Reporting: Assist in the preparation of annual pension statements and financial reconciliation reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with HR departments to update employee status and contribution details.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in pension administration, government benefits, or financial record keeping.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and pension management software (e.g., Ceridian, ADP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to handle sensitive financial data with 100% accuracy.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex pension concepts clearly to members.
- Legal Knowledge: Basic understanding of labor laws and retirement plan structures.
