Responsibilities
- Process and verify pension contribution statements and benefit payments with high accuracy during night shifts.
- Investigate and resolve complex member inquiries regarding retirement eligibility, vesting, and monthly payments.
- Conduct audits of pension records to ensure compliance with state statutes and federal regulations (e.g., ERISA).
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial and personal data using secure government systems.
- Collaborate with the daytime operations team to transfer pending cases and ensure workflow continuity.
- Update member records in the Retirement Information System (RIS) and resolve data discrepancies.
- Assist in the implementation of new pension plan updates and system upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- 3+ years of experience in financial administration, payroll processing, or customer service within the government or non-profit sector preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a night shift environment with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of retirement plan administration principles and government compliance standards is a plus.
