In this pivotal role, you will oversee the administration of federal pension plans, ensuring strict compliance with ERISA regulations and optimizing retirement outcomes for thousands of beneficiaries.
As a key member of our finance division, you will act as a subject matter expert on the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS), bridging the gap between complex actuarial data and practical employee benefits.

Responsibilities
- Analyze complex pension data and prepare detailed actuarial reports for senior leadership.
- Review and update internal pension plan documents to ensure full compliance with federal regulations.
- Conduct training sessions for HR staff and federal employees regarding retirement eligibility and TSP contributions.
- Investigate and resolve complex benefit inquiries and discrepancies.
- Collaborate with external actuaries, legal counsel, and internal auditors.
- Develop strategies to enhance the efficiency of pension processing workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Public Administration (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of proven experience in government benefits, pension administration, or actuarial science.
- Deep understanding of FERS, CSRS, and the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP).
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, or SAS).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder presentations.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with the highest level of confidentiality.
