Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize municipal pension fund compliance with Oregon state regulations
- Process daily payroll transactions for public sector retirees with 24-hour turnaround
- Conduct financial audits and risk assessments for retirement portfolio assets
- Develop educational materials for government employees on retirement planning benefits
- Collaborate with Treasury Department on investment strategy and fund allocation
- Maintain confidential participant records in compliance with ERISA standards
- Prepare quarterly reports for City Council and Pension Board review
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or government finance experience
- Certified Public Pension Administrator (CPPA) designation preferred
- Proficiency in daily pay processing systems like ADP or Paycom
- Advanced knowledge of IRS 401(a), 457(b), and Oregon PERS regulations
- Strong analytical skills with experience in fund valuation modeling
- Ability to handle confidential data with HIPAA-level discretion
- Valid Oregon driver's license required
