Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the City's multi-employer pension fund portfolio
- Conduct actuarial valuations and compliance audits per Kansas Public Employee Retirement System (KPERS) requirements
- Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with fiduciary responsibilities
- Process retirement applications and provide member education on benefits
- Prepare annual reports for City Council and state regulatory bodies
- Collaborate with external auditors and legal counsel on pension governance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration required
- 5+ years of pension administration or public finance experience
- Kansas Public Employee Retirement System (KPERS) certification preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and pension administration software
- Strong analytical skills with experience in actuarial calculations
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder reporting
- Valid Kansas driver's license
