Responsibilities
- Process and verify pension applications, distributions, and retirement eligibility documentation
- Calculate retirement benefits using specialized pension administration software
- Advise government employees on pension options, contribution limits, and retirement planning
- Ensure compliance with federal ERISA regulations and Missouri state pension laws
- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare regulatory reports
- Collaborate with HR departments across state agencies on pension-related matters
- Conduct periodic pension plan audits and benefit reconciliation
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in finance, accounting, or public administration (Bachelor's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years experience in pension administration or financial services
- Proficiency with pension software (e.g., Millennium, Oracle HCM)
- Strong knowledge of retirement planning principles and regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with numerical accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain Missouri government security clearance
- Valid U.S. driver's license with clean record
