Responsibilities
- Administer and oversee government pension fund operations including contributions, distributions, and record-keeping
- Analyze financial data to ensure fund solvency and regulatory compliance
- Develop and implement pension policy updates aligned with legislative changes
- Provide expert guidance to employees on retirement planning and benefit options
- Collaborate with auditors and regulatory bodies for annual compliance reviews
- Manage pension-related inquiries and disputes with transparency and accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in pension administration or benefits management
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and Wisconsin state pension laws
- Proficiency in pension management software (e.g., PeopleSoft, Oracle HCM)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or similar designation preferred
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder education and reporting
