Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and process pension benefit calculations and retiree inquiries with precision.
- Manage the lifecycle of employee pension enrollments, contributions, and withdrawals.
- Ensure strict adherence to government regulations and internal policies regarding retirement plans.
- Prepare detailed reports for the Board of Trustees and internal stakeholders regarding pension fund status.
- Collaborate with the Payroll and HR departments to resolve complex benefits discrepancies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to current and retired employees regarding pension questions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Public Administration, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pension administration, government benefits, or human resources.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal retirement regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for complex data analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee data.
