Responsibilities
- Manage Documentation: Organize, index, and maintain accurate physical and electronic records for government agencies.
- Data Entry: Process and input sensitive data into secure databases with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Customer Service: Assist members of the public and internal staff by answering inquiries regarding permits, licenses, and case files.
- Record Retrieval: Retrieve and distribute files promptly to authorized personnel for meetings and reviews.
- Report Preparation: Compile daily, weekly, and monthly statistical reports and prepare them for management review.
- Compliance: Ensure all filing practices comply with local, state, and federal government regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in administrative support, clerical work, or government service is strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with database management software.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening as required for government employment.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain a high level of accuracy in repetitive tasks.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with the public and colleagues.
