In this role, you will serve as the face of municipal services, assisting residents with inquiries, processing applications, and ensuring the smooth operation of local government functions.
Responsibilities
- Interact with the public and city officials to provide accurate information regarding city services and policies.
- Process applications for permits, licenses, and official documents efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain and update electronic and physical records of all citizen interactions and transactions.
- Enforce municipal codes and regulations while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Assist in the coordination of community events and public safety initiatives.
- Perform data entry and generate reports for department heads.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service, government administration, or public safety is highly desirable.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and government database systems.
