Responsibilities
- Assist in the administration and processing of state pension plan applications and member inquiries.
- Provide outstanding customer service regarding benefit eligibility and retirement options.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain secure, up-to-date records.
- Collaborate with the finance and compliance teams to ensure precise pension calculations.
- Prepare and organize documentation for state audits and reporting.
- Learn and apply knowledge of state retirement laws and regulations under supervision.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Public Administration is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data processing.
- Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to learn new government systems and procedures.
