Responsibilities
- Manage weekend facility operations ensuring compliance with federal regulations
- Process veteran benefit applications with accuracy and empathy
- Coordinate with medical staff for urgent weekend care requests
- Maintain confidential records and documentation in VA systems
- Conduct intake screenings and eligibility assessments
- Collaborate with weekday teams for seamless service continuity
- Participate in quarterly weekend shift training and drills
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (mandatory for federal employment)
- Ability to work Saturday/Sunday shifts (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
- Associate's degree or 2 years customer service experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and VA databases (VISTA/Benefits Delivery)
- Valid Virginia driver's license for occasional facility transport
- Ability to obtain and maintain secret security clearance
- Experience in healthcare or veteran services preferred
- Spanish fluency a plus for diverse veteran population
