As a Weekend Shift Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuity of public services and assisting the community with pension inquiries and administrative tasks during off-hours.
Responsibilities
- Manage Weekend Operations: Oversee and coordinate all daily operations and departmental functions during the weekend shift to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Pension Administration: Assist in processing and verifying pension applications, ensuring all documentation meets government compliance standards.
- Public Assistance: Provide exceptional customer service to residents and employees by answering inquiries regarding government benefits and weekend schedules.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of weekend transactions, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Reporting: Prepare daily and weekly reports on shift activities, including any issues encountered or resolved.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to local, state, and federal government regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a government, public sector, or high-volume administrative environment.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and government database systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex government policies clearly to the public.
- Integrity: Strong ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
