Responsibilities
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from federal, state, corporate, and private foundations
- Develop persuasive grant proposals aligned with funder priorities and organizational mission
- Collaborate with program teams to gather data and impact metrics for compelling narratives
- Manage grant reporting requirements and ensure compliance with funding guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of grant applications and funding outcomes
- Build and steward relationships with current and potential funders
- Stay current on trends in philanthropy and grant-making best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Communications, Nonprofit Management, English) required
- 3+ years of proven grant writing experience with $500K+ secured funds
- Exceptional writing skills with portfolio demonstrating persuasive grant narratives
- Experience with nonprofit financial statements and budget development
- Strong research skills and knowledge of diverse funding landscapes
- Proficiency with grant databases (e.g., Candid, GrantStation)
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
