Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and apply for federal, state, and private foundation grants relevant to our sector.
- Write clear, persuasive, and error-free grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and narrative reports.
- Manage the entire grant lifecycle, from concept to final reporting and compliance.
- Collaborate with program staff to ensure proposals accurately reflect organizational needs and impact.
- Monitor deadlines and maintain detailed records of funding sources and applications.
- Present findings and strategies to the board of directors and executive team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in grant writing and fundraising.
- Strong research skills and the ability to analyze funding agency requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management databases (e.g., Foundant, Blackbaud).
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for community events.
