Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery, including asphalt pavers, rollers, and graders, to repair and maintain city streets and highways.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and perform minor maintenance checks to ensure operational safety.
- Clear debris, fill potholes, and repair drainage systems to prevent infrastructure damage.
- Collaborate with engineering crews and other municipal departments on large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and city policies while on job sites.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to public safety, punctuality, and quality workmanship.
