Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate court records, case files, and legal documents with strict adherence to confidentiality standards.
- Assist the public, attorneys, and court officials with inquiries regarding filings, court dates, and procedures.
- Process financial transactions, including fines, fees, and payments, ensuring accurate accounting and reporting.
- Organize and file civil, criminal, and family law documents in an efficient and retrievable system.
- Operate standard office equipment, including scanners, printers, and case management software.
- Prepare and distribute notices, summonses, and legal correspondence to relevant parties.
- Assist in the preparation of court dockets and scheduling assignments for judges and magistrates.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's degree or certification in legal administration preferred.
- Proven experience in administrative or clerical roles, preferably within a government or legal setting.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of accuracy under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
