Responsibilities
- Process high-volume 911 calls with precision and empathy
- Coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed incident documentation and radio communications
- Provide life-saving medical instructions via EMD protocols
- Operate emergency alert systems and multi-agency coordination platforms
- Participate in crisis intervention and tactical dispatch training
- Complete 6-month certified dispatcher training program
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 50 WPM typing certification
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass multi-panel background check and psychological evaluation
- Experience in high-stress customer service or emergency response
- Proficiency with computer-aided dispatch systems
- Fluency in English (Spanish bilingualism highly valued)
- Must pass TCOLE dispatcher certification within 6 months
