Responsibilities
- Operate advanced X-ray and millimeter wave scanners to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct thorough physical screenings and pat-downs following TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and detect potential threats through behavioral observation
- Enforce TSA regulations while maintaining exceptional customer service
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed operational logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement during security escalations
- Participate in continuous training on evolving security technologies
Qualifications
- US citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Ability to obtain TSA Security Screening Certification
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ lbs
- Clear communication skills in English
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
