Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screenings using advanced X-ray, CT scanners, and explosive detection systems
- Perform pat-down searches and bag inspections to detect prohibited items and threats
- Operate TSA-issued equipment while maintaining strict security protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service to diverse travelers during high-pressure situations
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate operational records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency scenarios
- Train on evolving security technologies and threat detection methods
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background investigation
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED required)
- Ability to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance
- Proficient in English communication (written and verbal)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
- Valid Florida driver's license preferred
- Experience in customer service or security roles advantageous
