Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect mail/packages along designated routes using postal vehicles or foot delivery
- Sort, sequence, and organize mail efficiently for timely distribution
- Operate delivery vehicles safely while adhering to traffic regulations and USPS policies
- Provide exceptional customer service during mail interactions and route-related inquiries
- Complete daily delivery logs, maintenance reports, and route adjustments accurately
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and report mechanical issues promptly
- Adhere to strict security protocols for confidential mail handling
- Collaborate with supervisors to optimize route efficiency and delivery standards
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident alien status required
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Pass USPS background check, drug screening, and physical assessment
- Basic computer literacy for USPS systems and digital mail sorting
