Responsibilities
- Maintenance: Perform routine groundskeeping duties, including mowing, weeding, trimming, and landscaping to ensure park areas are pristine.
- Facility Upkeep: Inspect and repair park facilities, such as restrooms, playgrounds, and pavilions, reporting any significant damage to supervisors.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and hand tools.
- Public Interaction: Interact positively with the public, enforcing park rules, answering questions, and providing exceptional customer service.
- Seasonal Maintenance: Assist with snow removal, ice control, and debris cleanup during adverse weather conditions.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while performing job duties to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or general maintenance is preferred but not always required.
- License: Valid Nevada Driver’s License (Class 3) required.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, carry, and push items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly. Must be able to stand, walk, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of horticulture and landscaping principles; ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
