Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo for prohibited items using X-ray technology and walk-through metal detectors.
- Conduct physical pat-downs and searches in a professional and respectful manner.
- Interact with travelers from diverse backgrounds, maintaining a customer-service oriented attitude.
- Enforce TSA security regulations and procedures consistently.
- Identify and report potential security threats or anomalies immediately.
- Document screening results and complete necessary incident reports accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe screening workspace.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a Top Secret security clearance.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Pass a medical examination, including a drug screening.
- Meet specific vision requirements (corrected vision is acceptable).
- No criminal record or history of drug abuse as determined by a background investigation.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
