Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security equipment
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections to detect prohibited items
- Verify passenger identification and boarding documents against flight manifests
- Operate advanced imaging technology and explosive detection systems
- Respond to security incidents and emergency situations following established protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation of security screenings and incidents
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Successfully complete TSA security training program
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in diverse weather conditions and flexible schedules
- Valid U.S. driver's license (may be required)
