Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of enterprise-wide information systems and software applications.
- Collaborate with city departments to identify technical requirements and develop scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of sensitive government data and network infrastructure.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to minimize downtime and optimize user experience.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and IT staff within the department.
- Prepare detailed documentation, including technical specifications, system architecture diagrams, and user manuals.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices relevant to government IT standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT project management within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and database management systems (SQL, Oracle).
- Strong knowledge of government compliance standards, such as FISMA, FedRAMP, or relevant state regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance (if applicable).
