Responsibilities
- Review and process complex retirement applications with high accuracy and strict adherence to state timelines.
- Calculate pension benefits, survivor annuities, and lump-sum distributions in compliance with Ohio Revised Code.
- Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to retirees and active employees via phone, email, and in-person.
- Conduct thorough audits of pension records to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with the Finance Department to maintain accurate reporting and forecasting data.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new pension plan policies and procedures.
- Respond to complex inquiries regarding eligibility, vesting periods, and medical retirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pension administration, benefits management, or actuarial support.
- Strong working knowledge of government retirement systems and applicable labor laws.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Excel for complex data analysis.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with the highest level of confidentiality.
