Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the state network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues for state employees.
- Install, configure, and deploy new workstations, servers, and mobile devices.
- Monitor system performance and implement preventative maintenance measures.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to implement new technology solutions and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with state cybersecurity policies and data protection regulations.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate system records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a related technical role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking protocols (TCP/IP).
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure or AWS) and virtualization is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and obtain necessary security clearances.
