Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage for prohibited items using advanced imaging technology and manual search techniques
- Monitor security checkpoints to ensure compliance with TSA regulations and protocols
- Interact professionally with travelers to provide security guidance and exceptional customer service
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security screening equipment
- Document security incidents and suspicious activities according to established procedures
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel to maintain a secure environment
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Successfully complete TSA training academy and certification process
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
