Responsibilities
- Implement Security Protocols: Design, develop, and implement security measures to protect the organization's computer systems, networks, and data.
- Conduct Risk Assessments: Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security weaknesses.
- Manage Network Infrastructure: Oversee the administration and maintenance of local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and resolution of cybersecurity incidents and assist in disaster recovery planning.
- Compliance Audits: Ensure all systems comply with federal standards, including NIST and FISMA regulations.
- Technical Support: Provide expert-level technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders and end-users.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Clearance: Current Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one) is required.
- Experience: At least 5 years of specialized experience in information systems security and network administration.
- Certifications: Possession of one or more of the following: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CCNA Security.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and virtualization technologies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting technical information to non-technical audiences.
