Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain secure IT systems supporting 50+ federal field offices across California
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives including vulnerability assessments and incident response protocols
- Coordinate cloud migration projects for geospatial data platforms serving 1M+ users
- Develop automation scripts to streamline data workflows for environmental compliance reporting
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on interoperability standards for federal IT modernization
- Mentor junior staff on federal IT policies and NIST compliance frameworks
- Manage vendor relationships for enterprise software licensing and support contracts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years experience with enterprise network administration and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Federal security clearance eligibility (or ability to obtain Secret clearance)
- Expertise in cybersecurity frameworks (NIST 800-53, FISMA)
- Proficiency in Python/PowerShell for automation scripting
- ITIL certification preferred
- Demonstrated experience with federal IT acquisition processes
