Job Summary
The IT Specialist will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and other computer systems. You will serve as the primary point of contact for technical support, ensuring that our digital infrastructure remains secure and efficient.

Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software for county employees.
- Monitor network performance and perform routine maintenance to ensure system availability.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols and data protection measures.
- Assist in the planning and deployment of new IT infrastructure and software updates.
- Provide end-user support, including technical training and documentation creation.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify technical needs and solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of system issues, repairs, and upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
- 3+ years of experience in IT support, network administration, or a related technical role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and hardware components.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or CCNA are a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
