Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain secure federal IT infrastructure including cloud platforms and network systems
- Develop cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive EPA data and comply with federal regulations
- Provide technical support for EPA's environmental data management systems
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on IT modernization projects
- Conduct risk assessments and develop disaster recovery plans
- Manage vendor relationships for IT services and equipment
- Train staff on cybersecurity best practices and system usage
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of federal IT experience with security clearance eligibility
- CompTIA Security+ and/or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and network administration
- Knowledge of NIST cybersecurity frameworks and federal IT standards
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure
- Experience with database management and environmental data systems preferred
