Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and cloud solutions
- Provide Level 2-3 technical support for VA electronic health record systems and clinical applications
- Develop and execute disaster recovery plans ensuring 99.9% system uptime
- Conduct security assessments and implement NIST compliance protocols
- Train staff on new technologies and optimize system performance
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee IT procurement processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure management
- Active CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Experience with VA-specific systems (VistA, Cerner) preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
