Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain federal IT systems ensuring 99.9% uptime for critical veteran services
- Implement cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive veteran healthcare data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT infrastructure modernization projects
- Provide technical support and training to 150+ VA staff members
- Develop disaster recovery plans and conduct regular system backups
- Monitor system performance and optimize IT resource allocation
- Stay current with federal IT compliance regulations (FISMA, NIST)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 3+ years of professional IT administration experience
- Active Security+ CE certification or equivalent cybersecurity credential
- Demonstrated experience with federal IT compliance frameworks
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration and virtualization
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex systems
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
