Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the stability, performance, and security of on-premise and cloud-based government infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Implement and monitor strict cybersecurity protocols to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (e.g., FISMA, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy government systems and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and troubleshooting for critical applications and network services.
- Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate risks.
- Document technical processes and configurations to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure support within the public sector, Federal, or State government environment.
- Expert knowledge of Linux, Windows Server, virtualization technologies, and Active Directory.
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification is required; CISSP preferred.
- Strong understanding of ITIL framework and IT Service Management (ITSM).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (Secret or Top Secret preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
