Responsibilities
- Network Security Management: Monitor, analyze, and defend federal network systems against cyber threats and intrusions.
- System Administration: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network equipment for federal clients.
- Certification Support: Obtain and maintain required federal security clearances and technical certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+).
- Incident Response: Lead or participate in incident response teams to mitigate cybersecurity breaches and recover systems.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system diagrams and incident reports.
- Technical Support: Provide Tier 3 support for complex IT issues affecting federal personnel and operations.
- Compliance: Ensure all IT activities comply with federal regulations and agency policies.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience: At least 3 years of specialized IT experience in network administration or cybersecurity.
- Certification: Active Security+ or higher certification preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with senior leadership.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Secret clearance.
