Key Mission Areas:
- Securing Federal Information Systems (FISMA compliance).
- Implementing and monitoring security protocols.
- Providing technical support for classified and unclassified networks.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability management for DoD networks.
- Monitor system logs and analyze security alerts to prevent cyber threats and intrusions.
- Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff on cybersecurity best practices.
- Ensure compliance with federal laws, regulations, and security policies (NIST, DoD DIACAP).
- Perform regular audits of system configurations to maintain security posture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
- Active Secret or Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security, IT infrastructure, or cybersecurity.
- Knowledge of federal IT standards, such as NIST 800-53 and FISMA.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds) and incident response platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
