Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain rigorous network security protocols to protect sensitive government data from cyber threats.
- Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to internal staff and external stakeholders.
- Manage and oversee IT infrastructure projects, including server upgrades, software deployments, and network optimization.
- Conduct regular system audits and compliance checks to adhere to federal (FISMA) and state regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable, secure technology solutions for municipal operations.
- Monitor system performance and respond to incidents with rapid resolution protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or cybersecurity within a government or enterprise environment.
- Strong technical proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance (Secret level) upon offer.
- NY State residency is required.
