Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain the city's network infrastructure and server systems.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for internal staff and external stakeholders.
- Ensure the security and integrity of sensitive government data in compliance with federal regulations.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify and deploy emerging technologies that improve municipal services.
- Perform regular system audits, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Document technical processes and create user guides for software applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in IT support, network administration, or systems engineering.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CISSP are strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Windows/Linux server environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this government position.
