Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure across El Paso facilities.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex hardware and software issues for internal staff and external partners.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive state data and network integrity.
- Conduct regular system audits, perform preventative maintenance, and upgrade server hardware as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable IT solutions that meet state compliance standards.
- Provide technical training and support to less experienced IT staff and end-users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; OR equivalent years of professional experience.
- Active certification such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or equivalent technical training.
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in network administration, systems analysis, or IT support.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, routing, switching, and Windows Server environments.
- Ability to obtain a Texas Class C Driver’s License and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
