Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Monitor network traffic and system performance to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement necessary security patches.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users regarding network connectivity, hardware, and software issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network upgrades and infrastructure modernization projects.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Ensure compliance with federal information security standards and cybersecurity protocols.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited college or university is preferred.
- At least 2 years of specialized experience in IT network administration, system engineering, or cybersecurity.
- Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP), routing, switching, and firewalls.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
