Responsibilities
- Provide tier-2 technical support to over 500 state employees via phone and email.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including operating systems and office applications.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, printers, and network peripherals.
- Assist in the migration of data to new cloud-based systems and ensure data integrity.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to minimize downtime.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for IT processes and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with the IT security team to ensure compliance with state data protection regulations.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Bachelor's preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical support or a related IT role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced government office.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and pass a background check and drug screening.
